Even the packages ordered for the house can be prepared in Hungary with the help of AI
Even today, more than 90 percent of the sorting and picking tasks in warehouses are performed manually, which is increasingly challenging for logistics companies struggling with labor shortages. Siemens’ artificial intelligence-based solution, which has also become available on the domestic market, offers a solution for this.
SIMATIC Robot Pick AI takes picking to the next level: with it, industrial robots are able to grasp even unknown objects and assemble orders.
Siemens’ vision software based on deep learning is able to make decisions for the grasping and preparation robot within milliseconds based on the depth and color images of the objects in front of it. Even 3D cameras from different suppliers can be used as sensors, from low-cost to high-resolution systems, and it is also compatible with most types of robots, cobots and grippers on the market. Thanks to its fast calculations, up to a thousand pieces per hour can be recorded, so this new solution can significantly speed up intralogistics work.
