You can now buy Budapest Card from BKK vending machines
The Budapest Card offers unlimited use of public transport in Budapest, and more than 30 free and more than 50 discounted tickets – including tickets to the capital’s spas – are also available at BKK ticket machines in the capital.
The Budapest Card can also be used for museums and spas in the capital, sightseeing tours, and Danube cruises, and offers unlimited use of public transport in the capital within the validity period.
According to the April decision of the Budapest General Assembly, the tasks related to the issuance, development, and management of the Budapest Card will be performed by the Budapest Transport Center from July 1, 2025.
The Budapest Card can be used under the same conditions as before: it can be exchanged for a period of 24, 48, 72, 96, or 120 hours. For stays of 72 hours, a so-called Budapest Card 72 hours PLUS can also be purchased, which, in addition to the options valid for 72 hours, also gives you a discount ticket for entry to other attractions in the capital. The price of the card, the range of discounts it offers, and the sales points available in the city (the largest is the sales point located in Deák Ferenc Square) are also the same, which will be supplemented by more than 300 BKK vending machines in the capital from September 16.
The purchased card is valid from the date indicated on the card until the selected period, and can be used by both foreign and domestic tourists. Information on the use of the card, its price, sales points, and available programs can be found on the following page: https://bkk.hu/budapestkartya
