250 mangalica frams are operating in Hungary
The traditional animal breeding methods – like mangalica – have a priority nature conservation importance, are part of the Hungarian landscape and ethnographic traditions linked to them. They are part of the national identity and are the symbols of Hungary – Nagy István Parliamentary Minister of State of the Ministry of Agriculture (FM) said in Saturday at the opening ceremony of the 10th Budapest Mangalica Festival.
Nagy István underlined that the ministry is not only supported the current event, but has been cooperating with the National Association of Mangalica Breeders in order to preserve the mangalicas, the popularization of mangalica products and in order to strengthen the market position of them. (MTI)
