Mangalica Festival in Debrecen
The mayor of Debrecen called the city as the spiritual center of the Hungarian Mangalica breeding at the opening ceremony of the seventh Mangalica Festival.
Papp László (Fidesz-KDNP) recalled that 25 years ago Tóth Péter Debreceni breeder and partners gathered the still to be found mangalicas in the country. Tóth Péter, president of the National Association of Mangalica Breeders (MOE) manages the organization from Debrecen for a quarter of a century, and as a result of their work now they sell 70 thousand mangalicas a year – he added.
