Domestic tourism resumed in May

Thanks to fast and coordinated government measures, the domestic tourism season was relaunched in May, and based on the data so far, the annual domestic turnover may exceed the data of the previous years – the Hungarian Tourism Agency (MTÜ) told MTI on Wednesday.

In May of this year, 134 thousand guests arrived at the Hungarian accommodation establishments, who spent 433 thousand guest nights. Due to international travel restrictions, domestic traffic was dominant in May: 94 percent of the number of guests and 82 percent of guest nights came from domestic guests. (MTI)
