The euro zone’s retail purchasing manager index improved in May
The May value of the euro zone’s retail purchasing manager index has slightly improved, but still indicates a steep downturn in sales – announced the London-based Markit Economics Research Institute on Wednesday.
In May, the index rose to 43.3 points from 41.3 points of April.
The index, existing since January 2004, reached its second lowest value in April, this year. The index reflects the changes in retail sales value. The value over 50.0 points shows the growth of traffic, value under 50.0 points, shows a decrease. (MTI)
