Consumer expects improved in May
After more than half-year of falling, the seasonally adjusted values of the GKI consumer confidence index has been increased by 4 points in May.
According to the survey supported by the European Union, each component of the index indicates a positive trend compared to April. The biggest improvement is in the most pessimistic percepted threads: The public opinions on the expected economic situation of the country's improved by 6, the public expectations of the evolution of unemployment in the next 12 months improved by 5 points compared to the previous month. Somewhat better – or less pessimistic – the opinion on the own financial situation of the population and the opinions on the ability of short-term savings. There’s a significant decrease in the inflation expectations of the consumers.
