Industrial production in the euro area was weaker than expected in May
In May, euro area industrial production fell by 20.9 percent year-on-year from 20.0 percent, after a record 28.7 percent year-on-year decline in April.
Instead of the expected 15.0 percent increase over the previous month, industrial production in the euro area expanded by only 12.4 percent in May, following a monthly decline of 18.2 percent in April. (MTI)
