May 20th is World Bee Day
Get back to nature. Certainly, this advice is often given, whether we are struggling with mental or physical problems. Being close to nature, and especially the presence of bees, can contribute to our spiritual recharge in a special way. In connection with World Bee Day, BeoBee Beekeeping presents the perhaps lesser-known healing power of bees!
A thousand-faced cure from bees
The power of honey and beekeeping products has been discovered for thousands of years, and although the scientific explanation was not yet known in the ancient past, it was known that the gifts of bees can bring relief to many diseases. It has now been scientifically proven that apitherapy can also be effective in treating immune system and neurological problems.
How? The antioxidants in honey and propolis help reduce the harmful effects of stress, while the high content of vitamin B and acetylcholine in royal jelly stimulates mental freshness. Properly applied bee venom can have a beneficial effect not only on the body, but also on our mood!
The scent of the hive penetrates our soul
The natural scent of the bees’ environment – a mixture of beeswax, propolis, pollen and honey – has a stress-relieving and calming effect. The mild resinous-floral scent encourages the body to breathe deeply, slowly, which calms the nervous system and promotes a state of mindfulness.
In apitherapy houses, we can breathe in the specially composed air emitted by the bees, but we can also easily create an island of calm in our own environment! For a relaxing evening bath, light a beeswax candle, smell the delicate scent of honey before scooping it in and use products made from natural honey ingredients, such as beeswax cloths. With such small steps, we almost imperceptibly refresh not only our bodies, but also our souls.
