The passenger traffic at Liszt Ferenc International Airport is almost 60 percent of the pre-epidemic level
In January, Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport reached almost 60 percent of the pre-pandemic passenger traffic of 3 years earlier, Budapest Airport Zrt. told MTI on Wednesday.
Year-over-year, 562,635 passengers is a 750 percent increase, while freight traffic of 15,748 tons is 25.8 percent higher than last year, in the first month of 2021, the year-breaking freight record. 80 percent of pre-pandemic destinations are available from Budapest, with 27 airlines taking passengers to 101 airports in 37 countries in the first month of the year.
