Domestic parcel traffic in the post office jumped by almost 20 percent
E-commerce and, with it, the growth of the logistics market have hardly come as a surprise to the experts, as the turnover of the area has shown a double-digit increase in recent years. In addition, the number of online shoppers and purchases has increased more due to the coronavirus pandemic. During the spring emergency period, the post office’s parcel processing plants were full, and the volume of peak traffic came from the online stores. There was a sudden increase in parcel traffic in the spring months and then, despite expectations, barely declined after the emergency was lifted in June, stabilizing at a higher level than last year.
