Hungary also received lasagne made of horse meat – National Director of Food and Feed Safety department of the National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih) told MTI.

It was expected that Hungary can not be left completely out of the European horse meat scandal – the expert added.

The destination of the shipment arrived to Hungary, was originally a Nowaco-interest in the Czech Republic, but the cargo was transported to Hungary and (according to several news) to Slovakia among unclear circumstances. Nébih received the information from the Czech Republic via the EU’s rapid alert system. (MTI)
