MONKEY 47 Distiller’s Cut 2023 is also being introduced in Hungary
The latest, special collector’s edition of the ultra-premium Black Forest gin has also arrived in domestic bars. MONKEY 47 Distiller’s Cut 2023 will be available in limited quantities for a limited time: the unique cocktail made from it will only be available at designated locations.
The gin experts at MONKEY 47 always create something lasting: every year since 2010, they have presented a dry gin intended for collectors, which is only available in very limited quantities and for a limited time around the world: the collector’s special edition is known as Distiller’s Cut, and is always named after the year in question. What makes it special is that the gin, which is known to consist of 47 ingredients, is made even more exclusive by adding a 48th, carefully selected ingredient – or as they call it, “Species Rara”.
Last year’s “Species Rara” was Galium odoratum, i.e. the smelly müge, which was found by MONKEY 47 experts in the Black Forest in Germany. While the secret comparator for 2022 was found locally, they had to travel much further for this year’s exciting ingredient, which was awaited by bartenders and gin fans alike: the special ingredient of the 2023 Distiller’s Cut is Acer Saccharum, which is found more than 7,000 kilometers away in Canada, i.e. became maple syrup produced from the sap of the sugar maple.
