While in Hungary bagmilk is becoming less used it is a blockbuster elsewhere
While in Hungary bagmilk is getting almost extinct, UK's Sainsbury's supermarket chain introduced bags packaged milk with success, over the expectations.
According to Sainsbury's; 75 percent less packaging usage would be needed and can save 1400 tonnes if milk would be packed into platic bags instead of the very common plastic bottles in the UK.
In addition to the environmental aspects, it is much cheaper for the customers. It is about 6 pence (about 7%) cheaper – reports Pénzcentrum, after the International Supermarket News.
