13 accommodations in Hungary received Michelin Key recognition
13 accommodations in Hungary have received the Michelin Key award, which serves to measure the excellence of hotels – the Michelin group announced to MTI on Thursday.
11 hotels in Hungary have received the one-key award, including Hotel Petit Bois in Balatonfüred, as well as the Anantara New York Palace in the capital, the Dorothea Hotel Autograph Collection, the Hotel Clark Budapest, and the Platán Manor in Tata. The two-key hotels include the Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace Budapest and the Matild Palace, a Luxury Collection Hotel, also located in the capital.
According to the announcement, just as Michelin Stars recognize the world’s best culinary experiences, Michelin Keys highlight the most outstanding accommodations within the Guide’s hotel selection.
Last year, Michelin Key awards were introduced in 15 travel destinations, and Michelin Guide inspectors selected the best from more than 7,000 hotels.
They pointed out that 2,457 hotels worldwide were rated, of which 1,742 hotels received one key, 572 hotels received two keys, and 143 hotels received three keys.
The announcement quoted Gwendal Poullennect, international director of the Michelin Guide, as saying that Michelin Keys rewards hotels that offer truly memorable stays, where design, service and location combine to create unforgettable moments.
