Hungary has not yet been informed of the proposed Russian banning of the poultry meat import
The Hungarian authorities have not yet received formal notification that Russia bans poultry imports from European countries hit by bird flu – the National Food Chain Safety Office (NÉBIH) told MTI on Monday.
The Russian Federal Veterinary and Plant Protection Service (Roszszelhoznadzor) announced on Sunday that Russia plans to ban the poultry meat and other poultry products imports from the bird flu-hit European countries. The exact date when the import ban will take effect has not yet been communicated, but the service indicated that certainly within two weeks. (MTI)
