YSK inaugurated Hungary’s largest single-space logistics center – four countries are served from Ecser
The new distribution center of the JYSK store chain in Ecser has started at full speed: in October, the more than 40-meter high-rise warehouses also started working. The fully automated towers currently hold 13,000 pallets of goods, but can handle more than 200,000 pallets. And 150 trucks roll into the center every week, and this number will double in a few months. The logistics base created from an investment of 200 million euros is the largest such facility in the country. From autumn, in addition to Hungarian stores, stores in Croatia, Slovakia and Slovenia will be supplied from here, and next year online orders will also be served from Ecser.

This is the country’s largest one-space distribution center
JYSK’s regional distribution center in Ecser has reached another important milestone: the two 43-meter high, fully automated high-rise warehouses were put into operation in October as part of the investment that started in 2020. So far, 13,000 pallets of goods have been placed in them, but they can store a total of 209,000 pallets of goods. At the moment, 150 trucks and containers of goods arrive at the 143,000-square-meter Hungarian distribution center – the size of nearly 20 football fields – per week, but the number of shipments is constantly increasing: in the coming months, 300 trucks per week may enter. JYSK’s new center in Ecser is thus the country’s largest one-space distribution center – it was revealed at the ceremonial opening of the logistics base on November 4.
The facility also includes goods receiving and issuing ramps, as well as an office building on a 560,000 square meter plot. The distribution center itself has a gate that is 800 meters wide and can accommodate 189 trucks, and the material handling system alone is 2.5 kilometers long. There is enough space on the lot to build two more high-rise warehouses, which would double the storage capacity.
