Hungary would turn the EU into a GMO-free zone
Hungary initiated to form an alliance wioth the participation of those countries that are rejecting the agricultural use of genetically modified organisms (GMOs), with the goal to turn the entire European Union as a GMO-free zone – Fazekas Sándor, Minister of Agriculture announced on Saturday in Berlin at the Global Forum for Food and Agriculture (GFFA).
Fazekas Sándor told reporters about the Hungarian initiative that the countries committed in GMO-free production should form an alliance, “because we would like to live in a healthy environment and would like to eat healthy foods, and we believe that the agriculture of EU and Hungary can stay competitive with traditional crop production and animal husbandry.” (MTI)
