Hungary’s first pharmacy with a digital sales floor
The healthcare sector celebrated a new milestone in Budapest. On September 19, the country’s first digital dispensary, Szent Borbála Gyógyszertár (1042 Budapest, Rózsa u. 16-18), was opened in a ceremonial setting. The impressive transformation of healthcare services in the pharmacy of the future promises many innovations and promising opportunities. Patients can experience drug selection in a new dimension.
Upon entering the door, you can immediately notice that the place is unique and completely different from the atmosphere of a traditional pharmacy. An unusually clean, futuristic space welcomes patients. There are no traditional shelves or showcases, nor posters or unnecessary leaflets. Instead, Szent Borbála Pharmacy uses state-of-the-art technology to attract customers’ attention. The products are not displayed in the usual way, but are displayed on special LED walls, which offers a unique and modern approach to shopping.
