Hungary among the leaders in European fresh vegetable exports
According to data from the International Trade Center (ITC), Hungary retained its place in the top 10 of European fresh vegetable exporters in 2024, with total exports worth EUR 412.4m. Germany remained our biggest market (EUR 55.1m, +8% annual growth), but Slovakia and Romania are also important markets for us. Hungary’s export performance is the 7th in Europe for lettuce and chicory and the 9th for carrots and cucumbers.

With their earthy aromas and versatile culinary applications, Hungarian carrots, parsnips, beets, celery, and radishes are gaining increasing recognition abroad
