Hungary asks for the European Commission’s crisis support
In order to easen the economic impact of the bird flu, Hungary officially asks for the European Commission’s crisis support – the Ministry of Agriculture (FM) told MTI on Monday.
The Ministry informed that the legislation of the European Union provides an opportunity to take actions in the internal market in justified cases in the health and epidemiological point of view. In these cases the European Commission can introduce special, unique measures adopted to a crisis.
Therefore, Hungary with regard to significant sectoral difficulties, calls for the use of the mechanism from the EU. (MTI)
