Hungary is the fourth cheapest country in the EU
In 2017, Denmark was the most expensive country in the European Union and Bulgaria was the cheapest. Hungary was the fourth cheapest country on the list after Poland, Romania and Bulgaria – index quotes Eurostat’s announcement.
The price of alcohol and tobacco products is the highest in Ireland and in the United Kingdom. In Ireland, alcohol and cigarettes cost 174 percent of the EU average, while in Bulgaria 56 percent of the average. Hungary and Romania are also very inexpensive with 69 and 70 percent. (Index)
