Hungarian Tourism Agency: this year can be a great year for tourism in Hungary

According to the data from the first three quarters of the year, tourism can close a great year in Hungary this year – Guller Zoltán, Managing Director of the Hungarian Tourism Agency (MTÜ), responded to the latest statistical data on Friday.

According to figures published by the Central Statistical Office (KSH) on Friday, the number of nights spent by foreign visitors was 7.3, while the number of domestic guests was 3.0 percent higher than in the previous year and the total turnover grew by 5.4 percent. Total gross sales of commercial accommodation at current prices increased by 14.8 percent to almost 44.5 billion forints. The price of hotel rooms at the national level increased by 10.2 percent, and in Budapest by 14 percent, compared to the previous year. (MTI)
