Hungarian eggs were not allowed to enter the Czech market
The Czech National Veterinary Authority (SVS), not allowed about three million eggs from abroad to the Czech market in the first quarter of this year.
According to Thursday's communication of SVS, the eggs were from hen keeping not relevant to the new EU standards, from hens kept in cages.
The majority of eggs that were banned, more than two million pieces, were from Poland. Other countries – such as Hungary and Spain – were also involved – said Milan Malena, director of the SVS to journalists. (MTI)
