Hungarian products were also selected among the most innovative at SIAL Paris
Fish chips made from domestic fish with extra protein content, chocolate made from apricot kernel flour, apple petals flavored with ginger, traditional, but extra quickly cooked dry pasta are among the most exciting products of the exhibitors at the community stands of the Agrármarketing Centrum at the SIAL Paris exhibition.
The biennial event has been the most prestigious professional event in the food industry for more than five decades. At the community stands of the Agricultural Marketing Center, twenty-six domestic exhibitors offer their exportable products to professional visitors and buyers. The growing recognition of Hungarian products is also shown by the fact that four products were selected for the Innovation Awards, the competition for the most innovative products taking place during the exhibition.
The food sector is paying attention to Paris these days, since October 19-23, 2024. between, the city of lights hosts one of the world’s most significant industry events. At the professional meeting, which attracts almost 7,500 exhibitors every two years, the Agrármarketing Centrum will appear on a total of 264 square meters, on three stands, with the participation of twenty-six exhibitors, including the Hungarian Food Business Program. The stands were also visited by György Habsburg, the ambassador of Hungary in Paris, to whom the company’s managing director, Péter Ondré, presented the Hungarian participation.
The range of products on offer is extremely broad, and the Hungarian food industry companies follow the changes in the food industry trends to such an extent that this time four products were selected for the “Innovation Awards” competition, which takes place during the exhibition and showcases the most innovative products. Buyers and importers who are open to new things can find specialties among them, such as Panarini Kft.’s fish chip delicacy made from African catfish and sturgeon, which is entirely Hungarian-bred, using a special process, which is now starting to be introduced to the market in Hungary. Grapoila Kft.’s apricot kernel-based chocolate, which is a unique innovation of its kind, and also has an excellent taste, was also selected for the competition. Two products of Nobilis Zrt., which offers nuts, seeds, and healthy snacks, are also included in the selection of the Innovation Awards, the ginger-flavored apple petal and the turmeric, lemon, dark chocolate-dipped almonds are also favorites of connoisseurs.
