Our favourite festival Sziget has gained yet another international sign of professional recognition. As we know, European Festival Awards has just listed the Budapest-based party among the ten best major festivals of Europe. Now, a journalist of The Independent – listing festivals in chronological oder – refers to Sziget as one of the five best music-related events in Europe. The author calls Sziget the largest open-air music festival, where visitors get to enjoy programs in a stunning environment, day and night for a week. According to the journalist, the festival is impressive not only for its vast size, but also for the variety of musical and cultural entertainment.
