The Cake and Wine Tasting Festival in Budapest is up to break a record
The Cake and Wine Tasting Festival of Budapest aims to break a Hungarian record by eating more than ten thousand cake bites. The festival is organized on the basis of the Hírességek süteményei (Cakes of celebrities) book of Őszy-Tóth Gábriel.
The author of this book told at a press conference on Thursday, that in the book 62 cake recipes of renowned personalities were paired with 62 wines of 30 winemakers. The cookbook dispels the myth that only sweet Tokaji wines are fitting to cakes. 44 wines out of the 62 wines are dry wines – Őszy-Tóth Gábriel explains.
Details of the festival as well as tickets for the tasting festival can be found at the: www.igyfoznek.hu site. (MTI)
