The international expansion of Hungarian goose down is no coincidence, as in addition to its excellent heat retention ability, it already falls into the luxury category due to its exclusivity. In our country, this currently amounts to 2.6 million individuals per year.

On December 3rd, at an exclusive press event in Budapest, attended by the international elite of the industry, including the International Down and Feather Bureau (IDFB), the leaders of the China Feather and Down Industrial Association (CFDIA) and the Hungarian Poultry Product Council, the GUVET – FBZ agreement was announced, which has brought Hungarian-Chinese down trade to a new level. This is particularly important because, while 88 percent of the world’s goose down trade and around 90 percent of the processing industry are in China’s hands, high-quality Hungarian goose down also holds its place in this market and complements their raw material portfolio. Hungarian goose down is a sought-after product worldwide, including of course in China, due to its exceptionally high-quality down, which is among the best in international terms.

The agreement between the parties is also groundbreaking in that GUVET uses nanomembrane technology in its jackets, their products are antibacterial, and they also have extreme tensile strength in addition to being lightweight and heat-retaining. Thanks to this, GUVET plays a leading role in the global down industry, is the market leader with 161 patents, and recently, according to the World Record Certification Agency, they also have the highest quality down jacket. This obliges them not to compromise on quality. According to the founder and president of GUVET, this is why they decided to use Hungarian down.
