Hungarian specialties in Singapore
One of Asia’s most important international professional exhibitions, Food and Hotel Asia (FHA), has opened in Singapore. More than sixty-five thousand visitors are expected to attend the event, which will take place between April 8-11, 2025. The Agrármarketing Centrum’s community stand will offer cheese, honey, mangalica, nutritional supplements, Tokaj must and Villány wines, among other things, to attract buyers’ interest. The six Hungarian exhibitors will be presenting themselves on a sixty-square-meter stand; two of them participate in the exhibition every year.
The strategic importance of the Asian city-state is unquestionable in terms of its commercial position: its port is one of the busiest in the world, and it is a market leader in the development of intelligent logistics solutions. The Singapore exhibition has long been popular among domestic companies due to the geographical location of the mini-state and its role as a distribution center, but Singapore itself also represents a concrete opportunity: since its area is not sufficient to produce all the necessary food, the country is heavily dependent on imported raw materials, especially meat, vegetables and fruits.
At the FHA stand, domestic exhibitors will offer top Hungarian gastronomic products, including mangalica meat, cheese specialties, nutritional supplements and premium wines to buyers at the Agrármarketing Centrum community stand. In addition to the products of the six exhibitors, the Hungarian Food Business Program, the export development branch of the Agrármarketing Centrum, is also present at the event, within the framework of which potential buyers from the region interested in Hungarian products are continuously registered.
