Hungarian youth on the podium at the Euroskills competition
At the Euroskills 2025 European Vocational Championship held in Denmark between September 9 and 13, the Hungarian team finished third in the ranking of EU countries and fourth in the entire European field.
Young professionals from 38 countries competed in 32 professions, while the 26-member Hungarian team competed in 21 fields. In addition to traditional professions – such as hairdressing, car assembly, and flower arranging – the program also included new fields, such as software development and Industry 4.0.
Roland Izsó won a gold medal in the Industry 4.0 category: the task was to simulate the production of a new workpiece, for which a quality control station had to be created. The system used artificial intelligence and sensors to decide on the quality of the piece.
One of the main goals of the competition is to demonstrate how vocational training in each country prepares young people for the challenges of the labor market. The results of the Hungarian competitors show that domestic vocational training is competitive in many areas in the European field.
