ASmart shelf developed in Hungary can help food producers and traders to operate more efficiently
Real-time tracking and artificial intelligence solutions can be used to predict the depletion of store refrigerators and shelves, so it can be faster and more efficient to refill, transport and store goods. The trader can also benefit, as the current shortage of goods can be prevented so that the buyer is left without a product, so last but not least, unnecessary and COVID risky store visits can be avoided. The solution, based on sensors connected to mobile technology, is already being tested in real shops for beers, vacuum-packed meat products and tobacco products.
