Hungarian Order of Merit Knight Cross was awarded to the leaders of the Coop chain
On behalf of the President of the Republic Áder János, Dr. Palkovics László, Minister of Innovation and Technology handed over Hungarian Order of Merit Knight Cross to Pekó László, Chief Executive Officer of CO-OP Hungary Zrt. and Tóth László, CEO of UNIÓ COOP Zrt., who is also a member of the Board of Directors of CO-OP Hungary on 20 August on the occasion King St. Stephen’s day.

The COOP chain managers have been recognized for their excellent work for decades. Pekó László was honored for his outstanding role in the transformation and modernization of the domestic COOP cooperative trading system, while Tóth László was recognized for his outstanding role in the economic development of the COOP Group in the North Hungarian region.
