BNI members worldwide help each other generate 14% of the annual HUNGARY GDP, or 10,000 billion forints (25.9 billion USD) in additional sales revenue each year. BNI is celebrating its 40th anniversary this week, making it the world’s largest business networking community. The organization currently has more than 320,000 businesses worldwide.

András Avidor, founder and leader of the Hungarian BNI organization, will also serve as chairman of the BNI Global CEO Council this year, where he supports the work of the organization’s CEO, Mary Kennedy Thomson, and its directors in strategic decisions.

Business community building has now grown into an independent, multi-billion dollar industry in Hungary, and the market leader BNI Hungary, which holds 2,300 events in our country every year, was a pioneer in establishing an entrepreneurial culture based on personal meetings, recommendations, and knowledge sharing. Last year alone, members of the Hungarian organization of the largest international business community generated HUF 55 billion in additional revenue for each other through referrals alone.

“It is a great pride and a challenge for the directors of such a large organization, who have led global franchise networks – to provide advice and at the same time represent the interests of 75 countries and to form a communication bridge between them and the top management. At this time, I am reminded of a report made with István Kapitány (Shell), where he said, “it doesn’t matter what country you come from, what matters is how much you can add to the global level.”

The CEO of the global organization, Mary Kennedy Thompson, will also be the President of the International Franchise Association (IFA) this year, so thanks to the position of President of the advisory board, I have a direct connection with the world’s most influential and largest franchise association, which also represents a huge opportunity for Hungarian businesses,” said András Avidor, Head of BNI Hungary and Slovakia.
