Hungarian company enters the US market with meat substitute vegan products
Using Hungarian plant protein sources and unique ingredients, the Hungarian Plantcraft Innovációs Kft. has developed a soy, gluten and additive-free cold cut product line with the help of X-Ventures Gamma Venture Capital Fund to launch its second generation meat substitute products in the US.
Meat production in the world has more than tripled since 1970, and meat consumption is growing faster than the world’s population: by 2050, it is projected that the population of the Earth, nearly 10 billion people would consume 70 million percent more meat. But the resources of our planet are finite, so this volume would be unsustainable.
