Hungarian wines and foods were introduced to Dublin
The Embassy of Hungary in Dublin organized a wonderful event to introduce and promote Hungarian food and wine in Ireland. Ambassador Dr. Gergely Bánhegyi and his team invited Dublin’s gastro-interested businesses and professionals to a high-quality food and wine tasting, where Hungarian producers had the opportunity to introduce themselves not only through their products on the plates, but also personally, in the form of informal conversations.
“Thank you very much, and we are grateful for the excellent organization and warm welcome. It is a great pleasure that, in addition to outstanding Hungarian wines and meat products, our innovative egg white-based dairy product substitutes were also able to present themselves in the Irish capital. We received a lot of positive feedback that the protein-rich, low-calorie foods are becoming more and more popular among consumers in Ireland and in Western Europe as a whole, just as conscious nutrition and fitness are gaining more and more emphasis in the nutrition of both the young and the elderly.”
– said Dr. Csaba Németh, food engineer, who also deals with the development of ToTu products.
In addition, the event fell on one of Hungary’s national holidays, October 23, on which occasion the ambassador invited outstanding public figures from Ireland and the ambassadors of several countries in Dublin to a celebratory concert and subsequent reception. Hungarian winemakers and food producers also had the opportunity to introduce themselves during the reception.
