Magosz: more than 600 tons of wheat was gathered last year within the Bread of the Hungarians program
Over 600 tons of wheat was collected in the framework of the Bread of the Hungarians program – Jakab István, president of the Hungarian Farmers Association (MAGOSZ) told M1 news channel on Wednesday.
The president said that in 2011, only a few tens of tons was collected, but in the last two years the amount of wheat offered has reached a record.
The aim of the program now being launched is that Hungarian farmers in the Carpathian Basin donate a portion of their wheat to the needy Hungarians living in Hungary and abroad – he added. (MTI)
