German ‘restaurant chain’ Kochhaus is expanding fast. The idea is not revolutionarily new: the concept is based on the fact that customers cook and Kochhaus units offer them all the necessary ingredients, in the right portion, and the know-how (the recipe) with illustrated descriptions and on demand help from the staff. Customers get to choose from 20 meals – 2 of them are new every week – and the most expensive one costs EUR 10 per person. None of them take more than 12 steps to prepare. A large proportion of ingredients are regional and organic.
