Magazine: No tipping!
In more and more US restaurants waiters are forbidden to accept tips. This practice is widely debated, some say that waiters are exploited while others are afraid that tips would have a negative influence on the quality of service. Restaurant owners who follow a ‘no tipping’ policy compensate for the loss of income, for instance with higher hourly wages or in a Kentucky restaurant waiters can also choose taking 20 percent of the day’s food turnover.
