Magazine: A place where traditions reign
MVI and Coninvest Kft. organised a field trip to the Lake Garda region between 4 and 7 October. Restaurant owners, confectioners, chefs and suppliers were all among the participants of the coach tour.
MVI president László Kovács used the time they spent on the coach with travelling to moderate a ‘mini conference’, where participants introduced themselves. The group visited a typical local winery where wines and sparkling wines are made from grapes characteristic of the region. The next stop on our trip was a dairy company in Carpi, where special parmesan (with 32-percent fat content) and yoghurt was the menu. In the Maipighi production facility in Modena, group members were told how the 6-, 12- and 25-year old balsamic vinegars are made. In San Daniele de Friuli marvellous hams were waiting for the group in the Prolongo factory. Visiting the Angelo Po kitchen equipment factory was an exceptional experience for everyone: the brand’s history goes back 85 years and its products are distributed in Hungary by Coninvest. In the showroom kitchen company chef Ugo Pradella cooked lunch for the group.
