Insects carry 90 percent of all the protein on Earth and famine is a problem in many countries already. At the moment the most popular idea is making some kind of ‘flour’ from insects, followed by using them to make oils and fats. Experiments conducted in the Netherlands found that the oil made from certain types of grasshoppers and flies have a pleasant, fruity taste.
