Magazin: Fruity beer
Beer connoisseurs agree there is simply no comparison between Liefmans cherry beer and any old run-of-the-mill cherry beer. That's why the Liefmans Kriek was renamed as 'Liefmans Cuvée Brut'.
Made using a completely different method from Kriek Lambic, Liefmans Cuvée-Brut is a combination of aged brown beer which is mixed with fresh, whole cherries and, after 12 months, is blended with Oud Bruin and Goudenband of different ages. The result is a well balanced, sweet and sour kriek of great complexity.
