Magazine: God giveth and God taketh away
A coffeehouse in Bangkok opened with the name Starbung and consequently is being sued by Starbucks for 300,000 bahts (about HUF 2.1 million). The owner only reacted to the second letter of the coffee giant: he offered to sell the Starbung brand name to Starbucks for 3 million bahts! At the same time the Brits are annoyed by the fact that in October the coffee giant started selling duffins (donut+muffin hybrid) in the UK – a product invented and sold for many years – but not patented – by a small London bakery.
