Magazine: The message of the heron
Andrea Wlasitsch, economic director of family enterprise Garamvári Wineyard told our magazine that the company originally started in the wine trade in 1990, later purchased an estate in Lelle and built a production facility there. They were developing it step by step and in the last 15 years the vineyard grew to 74.5 hectares, from which 50 hectares are newly planted Hungarian and international grape varieties that fit perfectly into the company’s product profile Products have an excellent price-value ratio and are mainly sold in hypermarkets, so that they reach as many consumers as possible. The Kócsagos (Heron) wine series got a new label: a protected bird in the growing area, the majesty and pureness of which inspired the company. The series was created 15 years ago and communicates the philosophy of simplicity and pureness. Garamvári sparkling wines are made in Budafok, using the traditional method and relying on cutting-edge technology such as the Perreir disgorging system and the expertise of Vencel Garamvári. All ‘Vincent’ sparkling wines have their own character, formed by a minimum18-month bottle fermentation period.
