Madosz: growing illegal cigarettes trade
Illegal cigarette sales are increasing and the black market of producer tobacco is getting stronger – the President of the Hungarian Tobacco Growers' Association (Madosz) said on Wednesday at a professional forum in Ófehértó, Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county.
According to Bényei Illés, larcenies are increasing at tobacco plantations. On several occasions the thieves stole the drying tobacco leaves as well.
The stolen tobacco appears on the black markets – the President of the professional association added. In addition to the dried tobacco, the thieves are stealing the immature tobacco leaves too. (MTI)
