Confinement housing was orered
Bognár Lajos Chief Veterinarian ordered the confinement housing of poultry in the entire territory of Hungary.
The measure is justified by the fact that the avian influenza virus was detected in 83 wild-fowls in 11 counties and in Budapest, and that two weeks ago – probably due to contamination resulting from wild-fowls – the disease appeared in Győr-Moson-Sopron and Veszprém counties as well – the National Food Chain Safety Office (NÉBIH) announced on its website on Thursday.
