Avian influenza virus has been detected in a breeding flock of breeding turkeys numbering almost 5,000 in Kondoros, Békés County. In order to prevent the spread of the disease, the liquidation of the farm was started immediately, the National Food Chain Safety Authority (Nébih) said on its website.

As reported, the H5N1 subtype of the bird flu virus was identified at the farm in Kondoros, on Tuesday, where workers became aware of the increased mortality of the birds.
