Lidl is conquering Italy
Lidl opened their 600th discount supermarket in Italy, in the city of Palermo. The retailer invested EUR 10 million in building the new 1,400m² store. Only environmentally friendly building materials were used and renewable energy is utilised to operate the shop. The majority of the 2,000-strong assortment is supplied by Italian farmers and manufacturers.
