Lidl is testing an AI-powered tool in Switzerland that measures the CO2 emissions of products across the entire value chain, using a standardised methodology.

Lidl Switzerland aims to reduce CO₂ emissions in its value chain with AI-based tool

The project is implemented in collaboration with climate technology company Mondra. Its goal is to establish an internationally comparable calculation system that supports Lidl’s long-term sustainability goals of curbing emissions by 42.4% until 2034 and achieving complete climate neutrality by 2050.
