The acquisition of Eisberg’s Polish factory has also been completed.
Green Factory has finalized the acquisition of Eisberg’s Polish factory, so following the previously announced transactions in Hungary and Romania, Eisberg’s Polish factory now officially continues to operate as a member of the Green Holding group. Thanks to the acquisition, Green Factory’s sales revenue exceeds PLN 1.3 billion (approx. HUF 120 billion), and the company serves its customers daily from eight factories in 12 countries, with more than 1,500 employees. The current move further strengthens the company’s presence in the Central and Eastern European region, in the market of fresh vegetables, salad mixes and ready-made salads.
The Polish family-owned Green Factory has been building its integrated “farm to table” business model for almost three decades. Its own production areas (Green Crops), innovative hydroponic systems (Smart Vegetables Innovations) and logistics network (GFL) enable full control of quality, security of supply and flexibility, all in cooperation with the largest retail and hospitality partners. The company’s Fit&Easy and Primavega brands, as well as private label solutions, are now a dominant player in many Central European markets.
“We have been developing Green Holding based on the “farm-to-table” model for almost three decades. The closing of the transaction allows us to go beyond borders and achieve a scale that we could not even dream of a few years ago. We will become one of the leading companies in the Central and Eastern European region in the category of fresh vegetables, salad mixes and ready-made salads. This is a milestone for the entire group and the beginning of a new growth phase based on quality, innovation and responsibility.”
– said Artur Rytel, owner and CEO of Green Holding.
Green Factory’s long-term goal is to become a leading player in the market for fresh, processed vegetables and convenience foods in Central and Eastern Europe. With the acquisition, Eisberg’s plants in Poland (Legnica), as well as the previously announced plants in Hungary (Gyál) and Romania (Pantelimon), will be fully integrated into Green Factory’s production and supply system.
“The closing of the transaction is a natural step in Green Factory’s growth strategy that has been followed for years. Over the past few years, we have grown from a local manufacturer to a regional leader operating in several Central and Eastern European markets. This would not have been possible without the hard work of many people who, day in and day out, “They have built the strength and credibility of Green Factory and our consumer brands day by day. We are effectively expanding our activities, finding a balance between optimizing already well-functioning activities and exploring new markets, technologies and products that offer us new growth opportunities.” – said Michał Wólczyński, CEO of Green Factory CEE. With the combined resources, the company will offer its partners a broader product portfolio, more flexible operations and an even higher level of security of supply, all while operating sustainably and responsibly.
