The first phase of the Magyartarka Genome Project has been completed

The Ministry of Agriculture supports the development of a more competitive Magyartarka variety.
The head of the ministry called the first phase of the genomic breeding value evaluation program of the Magyartarka Breeders’ Association successful. As stated, the method will not only make genetic progress in the variety more efficient and faster, but will also allow the production of products better adapted to the needs of the market. By applying the modern method, the Magyartarka variety can maintain its competitiveness against the world varieties, they wrote. (MTI)
